About Our Founder & CEO
The Driving Force
Gerry graduated from The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London in 1990 and gained experience as a civil engineer in London working with some of the biggest names in the UK, firms such as Sir Alfred McAlpine.
He later expanded his business by developing construction projects in the UK and Ireland. As Ackar’s CEO he has spent over a decade developing a network of professionals in the Caribbean. He has successfully built strategic partnerships and a strong local team of experts in Barbados including architects, engineers, builders, legal, finance, realtors and marketing professionals.
Designing Beautiful, Eco-friendly and Adaptable Modular Structures Around the World!
We offer a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial buildings to include hospitals, schools, hotels and homes. Our eco-friendly designs can be readily adapted to specific locations and requirements throughout the world.
We work closely with local architects and engineering companies to ensure we meet building control regulations in all jurisdictions.
We understand “one size does not fit all”, so we ensure all our structures are flexible in design and that every customer gets a home to suit their desired needs and budget.
Our Scope
Our company has a licence for the supply and build of Modular buildings to the whole of the Caribbean, parts of Africa, UK and certain countries in Europe.
We are capable of supplying any number of properties from small to large scale projects. We aim to create local manufacturing factories to supply the needs of the area, and as part of our business model we employ and train local personnel and use local expertise.
Design & Delivery
Ackar Building Ltd has in-house teams of architects and engineers who work collaboratively with local professionals to structurally design and liaise with our manufacturing companies in China. We work directly with the management of the manufacturing factory company in China and can commission delivery of any quantity of housing at an affordable cost. The properties can be designed and delivered as a turnkey solution or as specified by our clients
Local Labour Force
We can in consultation with local architects and engineers design the infrastructure and foundations. Once a site is ready to receive the building, we can organise expert labour from the manufacturing company to go to site anywhere in the world and put together the building(s) and at the same time we can bring together a local team and train them so that after a short period of time we can carry out all the build process by using local labour.
Above & Beyond
As part of our extensive offering we also refurbishments on existing buildings, such as hotels, public buildings etc. with an internal refit.
